My Pitcrew Racing Roadster
This is my fourth Pitcrew Racing Roadster of five that I have owned. Pitcrew Racing are a roadster tuner specialist based near the Suzaka race circuit in Japan. In the beginning I used to hate these kits but seeing some great examples on the internet helped change my mind. I built this black roadster from a standard MX5 Eunos Roadster S Limited starting in late 2013. To my knowledge it is the only full pitcrew conversion built outside of Japan. Building it from scratch meant I could choose some of the modfications I wanted to do like the wider arches, curved front bonnet, etc.
From the beginning
I bought the car as mentioned as a standard rather tired looking but rust free Eunos Roadster S Limited in late 2013. The S Limited model was my ideal choice for this project as I wanted to build a black Pitcrew Racing Roadster while it also allowed me to tick the other ideal choice, which was to have a Pitcrew Racing Roadster with a full red interior.
Classic sounding noise to go with the look
With the help of a MX5 Specialist here in the UK the car also had IRTB's fitted. This is the first MX5 I have owned with IRTB's and this helps add to the classic styling and feel of the car due to the throaty induction roar, throttle response and sound through the Pitcrew Racing exhaust system.
Interior Styling to match the retro feel
To match the classic exterior look and the engine noise I have also created a unique interior using parts from Nakamae, Zoom Engineering, KG Works, Nardi, Nielex, Trap, etc to create a classic interior that when behind the wheel makes you feel like your in a roadster from yesteryear.
