The Best British Sports Car?
Welcome to my website. My name is James and if you are reading this guess you are a fellow mx5 enthusiast. I have owned over 50x MK1 MX5s for around 15 years and today own 6 different MK1 MX5 Roadsters of which 4 are shown here.
The MK1 or NA model MX5 was launched in 1989 and kickstarted the popularity again amongst car manufacturers for 2 seater affordable convertible roadsters.
The MX5 value for money they are a great buy and with Japanese reliability. Over the years I have owned a range of different cars as am a self confessed petrol head. I have included on this page the review of the best of British Sports Car by Jeremy Clarkson. Check it out.

Tuckin 99 N2 FM2 Turbo
This is a 1992 NA MK1 MX5. It was imported into the UK in 2004 as a standard Eunos Roadster. Since coming to the UK in the last couple of years, it has had the Tuckin 99 N2 Arches fitted, Custom order 16x9 and 16x8.5 Watanabes, Flyin Miata FM2 230bhp Turbo kit and plenty of other goodies. This car had most of the work done back in 2007/2008 while the most recent changes in the last few years have been the super rare Bodyshop Hayashi front headlights and parts from Nakamae.
Corns Eunos Roadster
This car I refer to a the Corns Eunos Roadster as was worked in Japan by Car Maker Corns. This car was imported from Japan in 2007 running on Weber twin carbs. Whilst it was modified in Japan I have changed a few things round to my liking and also sorted problem areas on the car where mechanical parts have needed replacing, etc. Today it runs a full forged 1.6 Engine built by Tomei Racing with uprated parts from TODA Racing with a Mazdaspeed Supercharger.
MX5 Eunos Roadster R Limited
I also have one of my favourite of the limited edition models Mazda produced for the MK1 MX5. This is the R Limited model only available in Japan when new. 1000 units were produced in 1995 (894 in Mica Satellite blue and 106 in Chaste white). All had full red leather interior, super lightweight forged BBS wheels, short ratio torsen LSD (rev's more like a 1.6), lightweight flywheel while classical interior styling with the Nardi wheel, gearknob and handbrake holder.
Pitcrew MX5
This is the love it or hate it marmite mx5. It has been redesigned to give a retro flavour using the Pitcrew Racing bodykit which is mega bucks in Japan. The car when I bought it a standard 1993 MX5 S Limited. Starting in late 2013 I started on this project and built the first full pitcrew conversion I know of to have been done outside of Japan. This car combines some of my favourite styling cues from Pitcrew Roadsters in Japan like the wide arches, deep dish wide JDM wheels too.
